After a career in the civil service, I came to this work following a period of deep self-reflection and personal challenge. Seeking meaning and fulfilment, I pursued my long-standing interest in psychology, earning qualifications in the field, including a Master’s in Occupational Psychology and a Master’s in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I initially trained to work with adults but have since expanded my practice to include children and teenagers, undertaking additional training and clinical experience through working in schools, youth services, and private practice. With over 12 years of experience, I support clients using both traditional talk therapy and creative, play-based approaches tailored to developmental needs.
Through my training, learning and clinical or personal experience, I have knowledge and understanding of issues such as:
Depression, stress, anxiety, OCD, trauma, developmental trauma, suicidal ideation, self-harm, neurodiversity, being affected by addictions, being at risk of genetic conditions, low self-esteem, eating disorders, domestic abuse, cultural issues, bereavement and loss, parenting, being a carer, boarding school syndrome, attachment issues, living and working abroad.
I have a passion for learning and invest in continued training in developments in the field of psychological health, which help inform my work.
Walking in nature supports emotional wellbeing, reduces stress and promotes mindfulness. I offer sessions outdoors in Bushy Park and Home Park, ideal if you find talking while walking more natural or prefer being outside. Get in touch if this option interests you.
Wanting to change habitual responses or behavioural patterns that are preventing you from being the person you want to be
Are a parent concerned about your child’s or teen’s emotions or behaviour
I offer integrative, relational therapy in a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space. At the core of my work is the person-centred approach, focused on developing a strong, trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences.
Depending on your individual needs, I draw from a range of approaches and theories to help you understand what’s keeping you stuck and explore ways to move forward. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stressed or unfulfilled, I work alongside you to support lasting change, resilience and growth.
With children and teenagers, I adapt therapy to their developmental stage, using creative tools and play therapy to help them express emotions and feel understood. My goal is to build a relationship of trust and support, empowering young clients to thrive now and into adulthood.
Being a parent can be joyful, but also overwhelming, exhausting and lonely. Children don’t come with a manual, and modern pressures—from digital life to pandemic disruptions—make parenting even more complex.
I offer counselling for parents who may be struggling with this transition, identity shifts, or family-related challenges. I also provide targeted parenting support, including individual sessions and Circle of Security Parenting: a relationship-based programme designed to strengthen attachment and emotional connection with your child.
If you’d like to find out more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can reach me by filling out the contact form on this site or by giving me a call on +44 7985 180 524. I’d be happy to answer any questions or arrange an initial session to explore whether I might be the right therapist for you or your family.
Whether you're seeking help for yourself, your child, or your family, I provide a flexible, experienced, and compassionate approach. Working with clients in Teddington, Kingston, and online, I am committed to helping people of all ages find resilience, self-understanding and emotional wellbeing.
